Administration of the Personal Effects of John Thirtle formerly of Sloley but late of Broome both in the County of Norfolk who died on 15 October 1879 at Broome was granted at Norwich to Susannah Thirtle of Broome Widow the Relict

On the 21st day of June 1880 the Will of Susannah Thirtle late of Broom (sic) in the County of Norfolk Widow who died 3 May 1880 at Broom was proved at Nowich by the Oath of Charlotte Hunt of Broom aforesaid Spinster the sister of the said deceased the sole Executrix named (in the said Will) she having been first sworn duly to administer.

This is the last Will and Testament of me Susannah Thirtle of Broom in the County of Norfolk Widow I devise and bequeath all the real and personal estate to which I shall be entitled at the time of my decease unto my Sister Charlotte Hunt absolutely but as to estates vested in me upon trust or by way of Mortgage subject to the trusts and equities affecting the same respectively and I appoint the said Charlotte Hunt sole Executrix of this my Will hereby revoking all other testamentary writings In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand the thirtieth day of April In the year of our Lord One Thousand eight hundred and eighty

Signed by the said Susannah Thirtle the Testatrix as and for her last Will and testament in the presence of us present at the same time who in her presence and in the presence of each other do attest and subscribe the same Edm P Norton, Solicitor, Bungay Edmd Scott Norton, His Clerk

Editors Note
The significance of the first line is that under The Married Women's Property Act of 1870 200 was the maximum amount of money a Woman could inherit unless it was bound by Trust although she could inherit any amount of rented property.
